1.0 Proposition.

So guys this is it at last, minecraft released! Well, it released a while ago, but it's taken me this long to come back to the forum and escape the clutches of my xbox.

I'm thinking, that while we have an awesome server with some truely mind*censored*ing contraptions and builds... could we perhaps do with a fresh start?
Now that minecraft has been properly released, I'd like to see if our current box could support a second server, with our current one being put on the backburner as a sort of 'Museum' server, so that all the weeks (Or in Katya and bsport's case /months/) of effort into our builds doesn't just vanish into the recycle bin. I know that the world of minecraft is infinite, but I feel that this total restart might give us something more to do, especially with new terrain features and dungeons and strongholds that players have to travel literally miles to encounter on our current server due to 'new' land having to be discovered after every update.

So.. what are the possibilities on this fresh start for wireplay minecraft?


P.S Also wondering if it's possible to have a map made of the current server? Just to see how nuts we've gotten.

Anything is possible

I'll setup a 2nd vanilla 1.0 server today or at least this week if you want & keep the old one running.
It probably is possible to just migrate the map to 1.0 if wanted but i agree that a restart might be nice.

I'll have a look at putting a map up of the current one.

PvP is enabled, game difficulty is easy & gamemode is survival
if people want it changed just post here, poke me on steam/irc.
Same banlist as on the previous one, & same ops.

As this is vanilla minecraft all those custom commands we had on previous one dont work, dont worry work is happening to bring it all to 1.0

You know, we have a snow biome right past the lighthouse mountain, and I'm thinking we should build something... wintery, or festive. Problem is, I got no ideas. If any of /you/ do however, I'll see if we can get together and build it!
Also, y'know, any other cool ideas too.
